We obtained ISO 9001 quality certification in 2013. In the Matadi port, we run our own shipping agency (consignation and representation) and representing NileDutch, and in the rest of the country, we’re proud to have the most important mining companies as part of our clientele.

Connexafrica owns 4 bonded warehouses (Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Kolwezi, and Goma) where your goods can be cleared and/or temporarily stored.

Nucleus as an entity was launched in 2005. However, the company is not new to the South African logistics industry. In 1999 it was a founding entity in the listed DNA Supply Chains and prior to that was known as SMG Management Services. The groups founders are well versed in the area of logistics and supply chain management. They realized the need for an independent, asset-free, intellectual capital-driven supply chain and logistics management business in South Africa, and founded the Services Management Group (SMG). As part of SMG, the Nucleus management team is largely credited with establishing the 4PL industry in South Africa. SMG experienced rapid growth via projects with leading blue chip customers such as Daimler Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, Honda, IBM, Tarsus, NDS, Omnia Fertilisers and Engen to name a few. SMG listed on the JSE as DNA Supply Chains in 1999, but in 2003 many of the operational and commodity businesses were sold, leaving DNA Logistics Alignment. In 2005, it was decided to consolidate DNA Logistics Alignment, which lead to the birth of Nucleus. The name Nucleus indicates the core – or the source – of the business in which multi-dimensional services exist. The name also alludes to a source of energy: adding value, time, service, and money to a company.
